UK contract plating specialist Quality Plated Products invested in excess of £2m in the new premises in Great Barr, Birmingham which included a state-of-the-art plating plant, five Negri Bossi injection moulding machines from 55 to 500 tonne and the Intelicare ancillaries.

The investment has increased the capacity for QPP to in excess of 60,000 parts per day and increases the size of mouldings that can be moulded in house. They are now able to offer a complete package from tool design to finished product.

Intelicare specialises in the supply and service of ancillary equipment used within the plastics processing and other industries. Cooling system

100kW cooling capacity dry cooler with twin pumps providing cooling water to the mould shop for hydraulic cooling and other services. The closed loop system replaces the conventional cooling tower and so prevents process water coming in contact with ambient air eliminating the risk of legionnaire’s disease issues as well as the need for a constant fresh supply of fresh water and chemical costs. Design features include high efficiency heat exchangers using copper tube with corrugated aluminium anticorodal fins, counter-flow air/water for improved thermal efficiency and low speed, low noise axial fans

Dehumidifier dryers

A honeycomb wheel dehumidifier dryer providing optimum drying efficiency resulting in improved product quality, mechanical properties, surface finish and a reduction in rejected parts.

Dew point air temperature as low as -50°C can be achieved which has the ability to draw out the moisture from deep within the granule and absorb it into the molecular sieve which is then regenerated.

Energy saving features are standard to include temperature monitoring of the regeneration cycle, heat recovery from the regeneration circuit to the process circuit and automatic RCE function which reduces the process air temperature when a reduction in throughput is detected or when throughput stops.

Hopper Loaders

Our latest design of hopper loader providing a cost effective, clean and efficient method of handling granules. Designed to provide optimum throughput and eliminating the need for manual handling at the process machine. This AM05 is our most popular model with a throughput of 110 kg/hr. All models have stainless steel receivers, latest generation fully functional controllers allowing easy modification of all times including the optional proportional mixer valve, optimised air flow for excellent vacuum and motors with soft start and brush wear monitor

Mould Heaters

A standard no fuss, low maintenance unit providing heating and cooling water for conditioning moulds. These TRW 90 models provide 15,000 Kcal of cooling capacity and 9kW of heating power with a max temperature of 95°C and are complete with low level monitor and auto fill plus mould drain facility. We can offer a full range of oil and water heaters, with pressurised water up to 170 degC and wide range of heating, cooling and pump variations
